About us

My name is Al Ferguson. I am a husband, father and founder of The Dad Network. The Dad Network was founded in 2013. My wife, Jen, and I were pregnant with our first child and I wanted to share my excitement with the world. Heartbreakingly we lost our baby, at 12 weeks, over our wedding weekend. The experience highlighted how little support there was available for dad's. The focus, whether it be advertising, social media or support groups was all aimed at mum's. I decided that I wanted to provide a support network for Dad's worldwide. An on-line community providing not only emotional support, but encouraging a community to join together to make the voice of the dad's loud enough to be heard in a mum dominated world.

Since then the network has grown and we now have 6000 dads in our closed Facebook group as well as ever increasing social media following.

The dad's in the group are proud to be dad's and are proud to be part of The Dad Network community. They came to me with the idea of starting a clothing line that was not only designed with dad's in mind but that would also provide a way of spreading the Dad Network word. That we are here to support others, to provide encouragement, advice etc and that we are proud to be engaged, hands-on, dedicated fathers to our children.

The Dad Network shop was born. Starting with a few simple designs, chosen by our on-line community, we aim to expand the range to meet the needs and desires of our customers.

The Dad Network shop is run by us. Entirely in house. So all emails and correspondence will come from either myself or my ever patient wife!
